Colt 1000F

Launched in 1966, the Colt 1000F retained the same styling of the Colt 800 with the innovative fastback body. But this version had a more powerful 1.0L 4-cylinder engine with the output pumped up to 55PS.

Because of improvements in performance, economy, reliability and seats that were designed for greater comfort and caused less fatigue, it was ideal for the new age of high-speed motoring. In December 1967 a 3-door hatchback version with a tailgate was produced, followed in 1968 by a 4-door saloon model. If you did need to stop during the journey, the lid of the spare tyre compartment had folding legs allowing it to be used as a picnic table.
