Colt 800

The Colt 800 was the first car we produced which had a raked back, or 'fastback'. It generated a huge level of interest at the 12th Tokyo Motor Show and launched in November 1965. It was powered by an 843cc 3-cylinder 2-stroke water-cooled engine and produced 45 PS. It used Reed Valve Induction Control to prevent intake air from blowing back into the carburettor at low engine speeds.

Later on, it evolved into the Colt 1000F, Colt 1100F and Colt 11F, but it was the Colt 800 that brought the Mitsubishi marque to the world's attention.
