Xpander Safety

The Mitsubishi Xpander has two types of safety systems to keep you and your passengers safe: solid safety such as a reinforced body and airbags and intelligent safety, such as Active Stability Control. They all ensure you can drive with the utmost confidence, day in and day out.

RISE (REINFORCED IMPACT SAFETY EVOLUTION) BODY

A cabin with a protective shell

The Xpander is built using our advanced Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body. It helps protect all occupants with a solid cabin structure that absorbs the energy of collisions from every direction (front, rear and sides). The RISE body then disperses the collision force to reduce damage while keeping passengers safe in the cabin.

HILL START ASSIST (HSA)

Easy starts on hills

Hill Start Assist makes starting on a steep slope really easy. It keeps the brake on for up to two seconds until you press the accelerator. So you need never worry about rolling back again.

ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL (ASC)

Keeping you on the straight and narrow

On slippery surfaces, or when the vehicle slips due to a sudden manoeuvre, the brakes automatically come on and the engine output is reduced at the same time, in order to stabilize the vehicle.

ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM)

Stay in control during braking

The Mitsubishi Xpander’s Anti-Lock Braking system prevents the wheels from locking up during emergency braking and helps the driver stay in control of the vehicle.

EMERGENCY STOP SIGNAL SYSTEM (ESS)

Avoid rear-end collisions

The Emergency Stop Signal System reduces the possibility of rear-end collisions. It automatically activates the hazard lights during sudden braking to alert motorists behind you.
